The Role of a Good Solicitor

A good solicitor will keep the owner informed of the progress of a sale, organise the date for completion as well as help with any outstanding tax issues whether the seller is staying in Spain or moving funds to another country.

The solicitor’s main responsibility is to check that the property has the correct paperwork, that it is correctly registered with the Land Registry, and that it is being sold with no outstanding debts attached.

It also helps to have your own solicitor to speak in legal terms with the other party’s solicitor and answer any legal issues that may arise.

For the paperwork that we need to be able to list your property, please visit our selling page.
